Preparation Instructions

Application Instructions

Application of Bio-Gold™

Bio-Gold™ can be:

  • Broadcast (ground rig preferred)
  • Drip irrigation system or inject into center pivot irrigation.
  • Mixed with most insecticides and/or herbicides for a single application.
  • Mixed with starter fertilizer at planting and/or with side dress fertilizer.

Pre-Plant Application:

For maximum benefits from BIO-GOLD™, apply two weeks before planting seedlings or seeds if possible, in order to allow the microorganisms to begin the process of regenerating the soil. In many cases application 2 weeks before planting is not practical because of the loss of moisture. Application of activated BIO-GOLD™ may be more favorable the same day as planting. The early application of BIO-GOLD™ to the soil also assists in reducing the population of fungi, insects, and other organisms which are harmful to the young seeds and seedlings.

Since microorganisms, like plants, grow better and faster with moisture. Apply when there is sufficient moisture in the soil to allow the microorganisms to penetrate throughout the rhizosphere (root zone).

Turf directions

Applying activated Bio-Gold™ with a lawn sprayer should not be applied in the heat of the day. Early morning on moist turf or late afternoon or evening is acceptable. After application, turn your turf sprinkler system on.

Bio-Gold™ may be safely mixed in a sprayer tank with most herbicides and pesticides. For maximum efficiency, apply Bio-Gold™ alone.
